Christening Invites

Good Morning All

I have had a busy weekend making 50 Christening Invitations for my Grandsons Christening in May.
This is a mock up.

I was waiting until the last minute yesterday to get the final details before I printed the inserts, anyway, as it was I  had to leave the time blank for Megan to fill in as she could not get hold of the vicar.  So now they are all parceled up ready to go in the post today.  I forgot to take a picture of the finished ones, this pic is one I emailed to Megan to see if she liked it, nothing is glued down or cut perfectly as you can see.  And the crosses I used were plain and a bit smaller.  I inked the edges of the heart too.  I,m so annoyed with myself for forgetting to photograph them.
*****************

Now these two pictures are of  'Zentangle' made by my sister in the UK.  I had never even heard of it until she emailed me to show me these two that she had made at her craft class in Southport.

She said it is very therapeutic.  I had a look on the internet to see what it was, it looks interesting but I have enough to do without starting something new.

She said she wouldn't mind me showing you these.  Have you heard of Zentangle?

  1. Lovely card Wendy. She´ll be over the moon with this.
This is a great example of Zentangle. I have watched it on C+C but it doesn´t rock my boat and like you I´ve too many new things on the go at the moment.

  2. Gosh Wendy you have been busy. Beautiful invites. I bought my Grandchildren books on Zentangles and they love it. I call it doodling as I used to do similar years ago on my school book covers. Hugs Rita xxx

  10. Hi Wendy. Lovely Christening card. At least you can get someone to take a pic for you when they arrive in England : ) Your sisters Zentangles are beautiful. Like you and others I don't have enough hours in the day to start another craft properly, but I do like the idea, it's just a step up from doodling. Take care.

  11. Spotted your card on a side bar and had to see this beautiful card. Gorgeous and well made. If it is a mock up I would love to see the finished card.

Zentangle is form of doodling and yes it is therapeutic.

    Blessings

  12. Oh your Christening Invitation is beautiful Wendy… what a lovely design! I love the 'Christening' border and the silver cross!
it's really easy to forget to take photos of things that you are making for special occasion or another person… I have done that myself… very frustrating!
I haven't heard of Zentangle but those intricate patterns remind me of a huge Poster that I had in the 70s which was a kind of Doodle Art… lots of details… don't think I ever finished it though… it was huge!! Lol
Hope you have a lovely evening!

  13. Hi Wendy
Having fun and games commenting this week so trying to catch up now if Blogger behaves.
Prototype looks great so Im sure the finished article looks fab.
Zentangle is a posh word for what I used to do on my exercise books at school lol! C&C went mad on it a while back.
