Card Date Book

Good Morning All
I was given a load of cards and three card date books by Linda from Animal Aid (A charity I support here).
The books have a slot for each month to put cards. and a place to write names etc.

This is the inside, showing some of the cards tucked in the slots.  I can't waste anything and it was a shame to cut these cards up,  so I thought someone might appreciate them in these books.  I do get given alot of used cards and I cut them up and use the backs or the plain bits to use for matting, or run them through the Cuttlbug with an embossing folder.

I forgot to take a picture of the front of the books but this is how I have decorated two of them and
John next Door has taken the other one, so watch out on his blog in the future, to see what he does with his.

This is the first one, covered in this gorgeous embossed paper, velvet ribbon, Papermania flowers with button centres and a couple of Hobbycutz lasercuts.  I am on the DT for Hobbycutz and I love these lasercuts that Kobie makes, they are great embellishments.

This is the next one, covered in material from a quilt cover I used to cover chair cushions for a sofa.  You could still see the writing through it so I needed embellishments to cover as much as possible.

X Cut alphabet die cuts and large  label for matting with green card and beer carton for brown !!!!

Marianne dies CR 1245  and LR 0250
Crochet flowers and butterfly with pearl centres
Quilled flowers.

I will be taking these to the Craft Fayre on Friday, lets hope they sell.  I enjoyed doing them anyway and if they dont they will be given back to Linda.

Afew pics for you to look at.  The cacti are coming into flower at the moment and the bougainvillea is looking gorgeous too, in two tone blossom all on one plant.  These are on our roof patio.

We have a pot of cacti coming into bud at present and when it is in full bloom I shall post a pic, there are numerous  branches on this one so it will look stunning when all flowers are out, so watch out.

This is the water wheel on the Rio del Segura, this is where we go for a walk.
