Christmas / Winter

Good Morning All

I was asked a while ago,  by the lovely Sam Healy, if I would like to join her Ladybug Crafts Challenge team.   I said 'yes' straight away, so here goes. You can enter upto 3 times with any type of hand crafted art.

I used -
Silver mirri card
Homemade bead pin
Christmas tree die (from John Next Door) used on sticky back glitter paper
Ribbon
Circle Sentiment from Netty HERE
Swiss Dots Embossing folder

I took this card with me to the craft meeting on Thursday because a lady had come the week before and she wanted to make a couple of Christmas cards for her daughters.  This lady had never crafted before, and I have since found out that she has suffered a brain hemorrhage in the past, so her dexterity was a tad slow, but she made two cards featuring a tree like this which I had previously cut out.  She was so happy to have done this and was made up with the cards she had made.  She wants to make one for her Grandson next week so I,m cutting some decoupage out for her as a topper.

I have that Die, never thought of cutting it using sticky backed paper. Must give that a go.

  4. Congratulations on your new DT Wendy. Your card is beautiful, I also have this die and I cut out a triangular shape and put the tree on top of it, it looks really nice. I think that you can do so much with this lovely die.
I really liked your story about the lady who attended your class, this is what it is all about, showing people how to overcome difficulties, I should know and it does help a lot. You are such a wonderful person. Hugs, Jen xx

  6. Hi Wendy
Gorgeous card. Love the tree. What a great story about your lady from the craft meeting. These things do not usually have good outcomes so its good to know someone has come out the other side and is doing well.
