Good Morning All

We are back home and I,m full of cold and sore throat, but we had a wonderful time.  Just trying to catch up on things, then I,m off to bed with a couple of Paracetamol!!!

I thought I would drag another parchment card out to show you.

This is such a pretty piece and beautiful for a sympathy card.  This is coloured on the front with pencils and a little felt tip, and mounted onto black card.

I am starting a craft club on Thursday, so I,m trying to get ideas together to put to the ladies that, hopefully, will attend.  I just wanted to to together with local folks with the same passions that I have, where we can craft and chat and share ideas.  Any input from you lovely people will be appreciated.

xxxxx

  2. Hi Wendy,

A stunning card, I love the effect Parchment has but I am never any good at it lol!

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog.

Good luck with the classes on Thursday, only advice I could give is start with something small and easily achievable to everyone then work up when they have more confidence. If there are any ideas on my blog that are of any use them please do use them. I guess the most important things I have learnt, though I don't always do enough of it, is matting and layering, this really makes a difference to a card I think, especially if you colour match, many times I have finished a card and thought it would have looked better with another layer but hey, your cards are so lovely I am sure you will be fine, more guts than me.

This card is gorgeous. So delicate.
How about the origami boxes for a starter at the club? Mind you, methinks there will be more chatting than crafting lol!

  12. This is so beautiful. I do love parchment craft (tried it and failed miserably so I am very envious of your talents!) it always looks so delicate and intricate.

I've never been to a craft club so I don't know anything about the subject really, but like Jacquie says, I would start with something quite simple, though I bet everyone has a fun time just chatting away! It sounds like a fab idea.
    Hope you feel better soon.
    Big hugs
