Happy Birthday Parchment Card

Good Morning All

As you know I,m in the UK but I thought I would schedule afew posts.  You may also be pleased to know that Hollies birthday card finally turned up on Monday, Rick had to go to post office and pick it up and pay extra postage.  42p short they said and a quid admin charge, cheeky beggars!!!!  I had weighed it and measured it and put correct stamps ( according to the Royal Mail web site),  on it so MIL could just pop it in a post box.  At least she got and her Mum is keeping it in her memory box for when she  grows up.
                                                 **********************************
This is a card I made a long time ago and the pic has been in my file for ages.  This did take a long time - all the cutting out and making the flowers from parchment and layering up, but I think it was worth the effort.  Laid against rainbow card shows the parchment work off to perfection.

This cute fella is my grandson who passed away in 2010.
Yesterday would have been his 4th birthday.
This pic was taken on his 1st birthday.

  1. Hi Wendy, just think of all the good times you had with your grandson and that helps the pain. He will always be remembered.

Your card would be great for a teenager, just up their street with the vibrant colours and I love the parchment work.

Enjoy your visit and try not to spend too much on crafty goodies.

  10. Hi Wendy, I haven't been around for a while as my daughters and families have been here for the past 3 weeks. The photo of your darling grandson is beautiful and I am sure you have many cherished memories of him. Your card is so pretty I have yet to try parchment, one of my sisters makes parchment cards and I keep saying I will try it but never seem to find the time. I am hoping to catch up with all my commenting now but this one caught my eye and i had to comment straight away.
