Hi All
I have wanted some blending tools for ages and my local craft shop has closed indefinately and I have spent a large chunk of money on dies just aafter Christmas, so I really did not want to spend any more so here's what I came up with ----- my very own, homemade blender.
I was in the local China Bazaar and I saw these large corks, they are about1.5 inches in diameter. I thought I could glue some felt on the bottom and use them like that as a blender but then I thought I may want to replace the felt so-- I glued one piece of felt on the bottom but put a much bigger piece around it and held it in place with an elastic band so that I can throw it away and replace as and when necessary. Hey Presto they work perfectly, so I am going to buy some more ( they are 60 cents for 2 thats about 50pence) so that I can have different ones for different colours of ink. I only have one Tim Holtz Distress ink but I have found that my other ink pads work just as good for what I need.
Saved myself a fair amount of money me thinks.
Going to the airport now to pick up my eldest son and his partner.
