Tilda

Hi all
I had a busy weekend Blog hopping over on the Docrafts forum, there are getting to be more and more joining in , which is great fun.  Lots more inspiration and exploring.

I have made a a similar card to the previous one but this time in blues and pale greens.  Again with my Promarkers and Tilda
I have used my large flowers template again in a pale blue card, made into an easel card, cut a slightly smaller one in a patterned paper.  Tilda - scarecrow coloured in pale green. Pearls on twisted wire that I made from my jewellery stash, punched flowers with gems added for their centres.  A little bow made from silk ribbon and I used a die cut butterfly on the top which only shows when the card is flat (see next pic just viewable)
Again, I think this is very pretty and hope you all like it too.

Promarkers

Hi all
I have been colouring again, practising with my Promarkers.  And making more flowers.
Close up

I cut out the base card with a large flower template, folded the top to make an easel card.  Cutanother flower from hammered cream card and glued that onto the top.  Then went to town with my embellishments -Paper flowers, ribbon, wire & beads, leaves cut with my CB, gems and, of course,  Tilda with a bicycle.  I put on a badge with `Me Time` on it and the easel stand has `Just For You` on it.  This could be used for any occasion - Get Well, Birthday,or just to say Hello.

Teddies

Hi again
I told you I had been busy.  Here is the second one.
All shades of brown and orange on this one.  Forever Friends decoupage mounted onto pearlised peach paper. Pearlised brown card used as the easel prop edged with lace with pearls on.  Some of my bargain flowers I told you about in an earlier post, and orange checked ribbon.  I must admit, I do love this card and I may give it to my neighbour whose birthday it is on the 27th..

Views and Parchment

Hi all

John and I have just come back from a lovely walk through the citrus groves and down by the river (Rio del Segura).  I took afew pics to show you all.

The first one is obviously by the river - working water wheel.  The river banks are very wide to allow for floods ( thats a laugh).
And the second one is me.
And the third one is the orange trees which have now been harvested.
It is lovely and warm here today, so warm I have been on the roof sitting in the garden chair reading.

Now onto other things like card making.
I made this one at my parchment class on Monday.  It is so delicate mounted onto lilac hexagonal card.  The flowers are coloured with crayons on the back - subtle shades of lilac and orange.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  Next weekend my younger son and his partner are arriving for a week - I cant wait, so I will try to get my blog hopping done on Saturday before they arrive.
See you soon

Sympathy card

Hi all
I,ve made this card for a challenge over on Papertake Weekly

This is made from an A6 card blank, the top folded to make a side easel.  All mono tones - printed paper for inside leaf, a decoupage flower mounted on black card and a piece of white doily added at the side.

I give alot of Sympathy / Thinking of  You cards to my charities here and the feed back from Linda (Animal Aid) is very positive.  She tells me that she always gets asked for more because they are not too OTT (over the top).
I really like this one because it`s abit different.

Birthday Card

Hi all

Hope all is well with everyone.  I,ve had abit of a tummy bug this week but feeling much better now.  Even when I,m feeling ill and huddled up on the sofa I still manage to make afew flowers etc.

This is a cute little image of an elephant popping out of a gift box.  I,m still trying to get to grips with shading with Promarkers, but, as the saying goes, practice makes perfect.  I added some quilled flowers onto the stepper card and a couple of sentiments.

Fame

Hi all

I have been mentioned in a local Newspaper in the letters page.  Linda, who runs the Animal Aid Charity here, rescues dogs and cats that have been abandoned or need rehousing.  I give her  cards when ever she need them and she sells them to raise funds, very much needed to cover vets bills and kennel costs.  Anyway, she wrote a letter to the paper thanking everyone who helps her and she mentioned me personally so I  was very pleased about that, it,s nice to be recognised for your efforts.

This is a pic of Jacko, we fostered him for a couple of weeks until he could be re-homed.  He was only about 1 year old, very lively but a lovely temperament and so cute.  We would have loved to have kept him but he needed a garden to run some of his energy off and we don't have one.  He was found a home with a couple who live in a house with a garden and has settled in nicely.

Hope you all have a nice week.

Celebrations

Hi all

Happy Valentines Day to everyone.  Hope you all got some lovely gifts.  I have seen some posts over on Docrafts so I know afew of you have.  I,m getting taken out for dinner tonight so that will be nice.

Todays card is a commission.  I was asked, on Sunday, to make a 60th Diamond anniversary card for one of my quiz buddies.  I have seen afew cards all (or nearly all ) one colour so this was an opportunity to try it out.

As you all know, I love making flowers and these were made from a template from MCS that came with a package of a Click, Print and Go CD and pop out flowers.  So I sit at night while watching the TV and make flowers.  So it is a hammered cream A4 card folded in half and then into an easel fold.  A white linen effect card mounted on top and corners punched.  Then all the embellishments added and glitter round the labels and Stickles on the flowers.
I love it and I hope my friend will too.

Warmer Weather

Morning All.

Abit dull here this morning but I think a bit warmer than the UK.  From all news reports on the radio you are all in a big freeze at the moment,  I feel for you.  I always think of my two sons and the rest of my family when it,s cold, I dont know why, but I do.

I,ve made afew cards this week and here is another one.

A lovely stamped image from `Faye Whittaker`  `All our yesterdays`
Coloured with Promarkers and mounted onto a side stepper card and ribbon and sentiment added.

Love

Good Morning All
Another lovely day here, sun shining but abit chilly.

Still using my Promarkers and making flowers so here goes-
This one is made using a Tatty Teddy Stamp from Docrafts, matted and layered onto a side stepper card.  More flowers made from a punch and a lovely, ready made sentiment decorated with a ribbon.  I may have to use this for Johns Valentine as the one I previously posted on here, I sold the other day to a gentleman  for his wife.  All the ones I sell, the proceeds go to buy more stash to enable me to make more cards for the two charities that I donate my cards to here in Spain. Let me know what you think - I do enjoy reading all your lovely comments.

Blue

Good Morning all

The sun is shining here today, infact I am too warm sat here in my craft room at the front of the house, but it will cool later as the sun moves round the side.

I am still enjoying colouring with my Promarkers and making different flowers too.
I think this image  is very cute.  I made the flowers from punched shapes and added gems and ribbon.

Quilled Flowers

Good Morning All

I promised a buddy of mine over on Docrafts (Christine) that I would start quilling again in the New Year, so thats what I have been doing whilst watching TV each evening.  I make the little individual petals then glue them together on a small circle then add to a card, some with a flourish cut with my Cuttlebug.

This last one I made a while ago but I really like it.  The petals are bigger but they are abit uneven size so I have kept practising to try to get them more even.  I added some punched and inked flowers to this one too.

Thanks for looking and leave a comment too, thanks again. xxxx

Cute Happy Birthday

Hi all

Here`s another one this week, told you my mojo had returned!!
It is a stamped image from Daisy and Dandelion (Docrafts) coloured with Promarkers.  As you know I love making flowers and these are quilled in different shades of red.  All others bits are from my stash which I am trying to reduce by using bits of paper and card already cut and NOT cutting into new ones.  White spotty organza ribbon and a couple of gems.

Valentines Card

Hi all

I hope you are all keeping warm in the UK, the weather has cooled here in Spain aswell but not as bad as UK.

I have definately got my mojo back and have been making lots of cards.  Here is my Valentines card for John.

It is  two decoupaged images from a Daisy and Dandelion pack.  Mounted onto a split step card and a border punch used for decoration at the top.
As you know, I love decoupage, I cut them all out whilst I watch tv in the evening.  I will probably see you again before the end of the week.
