New Home card

Hi all

Afew weeks ago I bought 3 bunches of flowers from a local cheapy store for 1.65 euro per bunch.  I bought them for the individual petals, to take apart and make blossoms for my cards and here are some on the following cards.

Here`s the bunches of flowers -
There are loads of petals on each bunch and I can use some of the leaves too.

This `New Home ` card is a  decoupage of a little bird house and  three of the petals and four leaves used from the above flowers and highlighted with a gem in the centre.

Another decoupage image of a little boy and more of the petals highlighted with gems.
I,m going to enter these in -

Forever Friends

Hi all
It is a lovely clear day here in Spain today, very warm again.  I must get out for a walk later.  This view is from a pathway at Cabo Roig, it,s a beautiful walk along the coastline, we often go there.

Trying to get one Christmas card per week made on the Snoflake challenge over on Docrafts.  I love teddies and especially Forever Friends, this one is from their Christmas decoupage kit and I love it, so I think there will be quite afew more in the coming weeks.
This is another easel card (I love this style at the moment).  Decoupaged image mounted on silver mirri card, two stars coloured red with Promarkers, ribbon and sentiment added on top of, a sort of hat pin I made with cream and ruby coloured pearl beads and red wire from my jewellery making stash.  Forever Friends paper and red card punched border added inside and another sentiment.  Red and green gems added too. Hope you all like it.

Promarkers

Hi all
I am still getting to grips with Promarkers - shading etc.  I have ordered some more from Joanna Sheen as mostly, mine are basic colours from one extreme to the other so I wanted some inbetweens, if you know what I mean.  Here is a card I have done this week.  It is a stamp from Giordano.  I really enjoy colouring, I think it is because it takes me back to childhood days.
Please leave me a comment (good or bad)  telling me what you think of it, especially the shading.  I know I still have a long way to go to catch upto some of my friends over on Docrafts.

I made it into an easel card - using a piece of doily, beads from my jewellery making stash and flowers from some big bunches I bought to dismantle and use for this purpose.
I,m going to enter this in
Promarkers challenge blog - Anything goes.

Thanks all

Friday

Hi all
Beautiful clear blue skies here  today.  My son was telling me that it is very cold in UK.

We were hospital visiting yesterday.  A great friend (and neighbour) of ours had a disagreement with his frying pan full of oil and he was admitted to Alicante hospital last Sunday after spending the night in Torrevieja hospital with burns to his face, chest and hands.  He is due to have and op today on his right hand, so prayers for him please.

I am still trying to get to grips with entering challenges, so I will try another one today.
This is a purple card base folded so that there is a lip inwards on the right hand side,
and a white card embossed on Cuttlebug.  Gorgeous flowery ribbon across botton and the top.  Pansy diamond shaped decoupage (I love pansies and I love cutting decoupage and I love purple) mounted onto lilac card.  Gems stuck on down the side and in the corners.
and an organza ribbon bow in the corner.

Parchment class card Monday 16 Jan

Hi all

I love this card, it,s very pretty and delicate and my favourite colour.  All marked out in white pen, then coloured the flowers in purple and green waterproof pens.  Pricked round the edges and carefully pricked and cut out the centre.  Then the cut out flower was  mounted onto another piece of parchment so the card had two leaves of parchment then stuck to a lilac pearlised card.  I did make a mistake on the corners so I added two peeloffs to hide it LOL.  (Peeloffs and butterflies hide a multitude of sins)

Die cut flowers - card

Hi all
Well here is the card I have made using the flowers made with the die cut in a previous post.
The flowers can be coloured using any medium.  I have made quite afew to use as and when I need them.

I am going to give it to a neighbour for her birthday next week as I wont have to post it, as it is very fat for an envelope.
I hope you like it.

Flowers

Hi all

Here are some of the flowers I made using my new Spellbinders die.  I used 160gm paper and then a green Distress ink to colour the edges and Anitas Tacky glue to put them together. The first picture shows the paper once it has been cut out, then you twist it up to make the flower.  I have made more flowers using my punches and one borrowed from JL next door.  I,ve coloured these with some ink pens I have had for years.
It is another lovely day here in Spain, although yesterday was cloudy and abit chilly.
I thought I would show you a picture of the gorgeous view from our back roof.  I love looking at these mountains any time of the day.  One day this week they were spectacular as the sun was peeping through the clouds and was highlighting certain  of parts of them, they looked wonderful.  We are so lucky living here.
The picture does not do the mountains justice, they are much nearer than they look on here.

Shopping

Hi
Just a quick post today.  Not made anything because I have been out with my neighbour to our local craft shop!!!!!!  I am into making my own flowers at the moment and I bought  Spellbinders die for cutting a swirl to twist into a flower, so when I have made some I shall post a pic.  My neighbour lent me a Distress Ink  so I am going to  have a go at that too.  It,s great having someone nearby, we can swap and lend each other stuff.  He got a Big Shot for Christmas so we swap dies and embossing folders.  His style is totally different to mine, I am flowery and pastels and he likes grungy and contemporary.

See some of you  tomorrow on the blog hop (Docrafts).

Easel card Stamped and Die cut - Cute

Hi all
Gosh I am busy today this is my second post.

This card I made using a 5 x 7" card blank.  Folded to make an easel card.  Stamped image is coloured with Promarkers.  Flowers punched and coloured with inks.  Embossing folder for my cuttlebug used behind the stamped image and, finally, a flourishes die cut in white card on the side.  Gems added to some of the flower centres and on the ends of the flourish.  Added Peel off `Happy Birthday`.

I think it looks pretty and cute, hope you do too.

Parchment class card `Snowdrops`

Hi all
I have just returned to my Parchment class after the Christmas break.  This is the card we created -`Snowdrops in a jug` - slight colour on the ends of the flowers, embossed, pricked and cut round the edges.  I think it`s very pretty and a friend of mine in the UK will be receiving this for her Birthday, I`m sure she will like it.

The next picture I have posted is the view across the road, looking out of my craft room window.  It was Sunday evening, just going dusk, and the full (or nearly full ) moon was rising in a clear sky.  We have had some beautiful warm weather just lately, unseasonally warm we are told.  Last year through the winter is was much colder.  This is more like what we came to Spain for.

Thanks for looking in.

A Challenge

I am going to try to get this on a challenge on Forever Friends blog, linking it, I have tried once and failed.

The card I have made using a Forever Friends Exclusive stamp (given free on a Docrafts mag), coloured it with Promarkers (still quite new to this too) and the lay out is stipulated in the challenge.  I hope you like it and I hope Forever Friends do too.
I think I have missed this but it was an experiment

Challenge card

Hi all
Another gorgeous day here in Spain.

This is  a card I have made for the Docraft challenge `Bear recycled Christmas card`
and a challenge on Gill M`s blog.
I have used brown and white card from Christmas cards and some gems.  The decoupage bears are from the Cuddly Buddly site. The rest is from my stash.  The paper flowers I have made myself - some from a punch and the others are quilled.
I love this easel design  for cards, it looks so effective.

It took me a while to get my crafting mojo back, I seemed to have lost over christmas, what with afew family worries, but, hopefully now things are getting better.

Happy Saturday to you all.

Christmas

Hi all
I thought Christmas was over with and then I go and sign up for the Snoflake Christrmas weekly challenge.  This means I have to make a Christmas card each week and put it in my gallery on the Docrafts site.  It is one way of getting my Christmas cards done!!!

It is simply 3 pictures of snow covered trees mounted onto  black card and stuck onto the white 5" X 7" base card with double sided foam tape to give a little depth.  Not too challenging but an easy one to get me back into swing.
I had lost my mojo for crafting but I think I have got it back now.

Christmas was a strange time for me - on one hand my younger son brought me much happiness by announcing his engagement, but on the other, hand my elder son had quite a big problem coping (getting through Christmas after losing his only son the year before).
I must thank a dear lady on Docrafts - Lea - she was a great help to me.  It was a very worrying time for me as a mother, but hopefully he is back on track again.

Thanks for visiting.
