About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have 3 daughters Aurora, born March 2015 and Arabella, born August 2017 and Arianna born 2019. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. I love reading them all. xxxx

Dies Challenge Day 31 & Journal Page 9A

Good Morning All
This is Journal page 9A Featuring Creative Expressions Pierced Squares.
I keep these along with the Ovals and Circles right by me in the craft room as they are the ones I use most of the time.
I cut  one then folded it in half to make a triangle corner tuck spot.  I cut some out of book pages too from the next smaller die so that I could make another tuck spot on top of the first one.
I found these journal cards in my journal stash.

I make these flowers from book pages too and have a load at hand ready to use.

I found these cute paperclips in the box too so fished the offcuts of Kraft card from the bin to clip onto the side of the page to use as a title snip.

Dies Used  -----
CED5510  Pierced Squares
(used on Day 23)

I have also been have a sort out while doing my dies challenge and I decided to sort my stamps out.
Normally I would store them in shoe boxes on the book case behind where I sit.
I had an A5 Lever Arch file spare, as these are what I store my Groovi plates in.
I decided to utilise this.
I dont have a massive amount of stamps so I started with my John Next Door ones.
First I cleaned them with this cleaner from Crafts Too.

Then I cut A5 sheets of white card and printed a label for each stamp set and stuck on top left hand corner of white card and slid the stamp set in the front and added another stamp set on the reverse.

So Johns filled 1 file then I bought another from the local stationery shop for the rest.
I dont have many others, afew from Creative Expressions and Clarity.

I also filled an A4 Lever arch file with my stamps sets from magazines.
So now they are all neat and tidy.

I do love organising and filing so fully enjoyed this job.

Good Morning All

I was gifted this die by June from Poppyfield Cards Blog because she knows I make lots of boxes for my Craft Club Ladies and it is very useful.
I think it would fit a nice choccy bar and I did bring quite afew back with me when we visited Mums afew  weeks ago.
It cuts the box, the words and a heart and a flower.

I cant believe how many dies I have and I still have lots more to go.  I think I may have to show two projects in some posts just to get through them all!!!!!

Dies Challenge Day 27 & Hearts for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is hosted by Kath, with a theme of
At Least one Heart

I used CE Embossing Folder 'Love Hearts' matted onto dark pink card.
The large X  Cut heart cut in black and 2 Cheery Lynn hearts cut in Gold Mirri.
I found a scrap of LOTV paperwith the words
You're the Song in my Heart which I thought was very apt.

I added organza ribbon with a gold heart charm.

So Kath wanted to see at least one heart, I cant count how many there are on this card as there are many cut into the large heart and loads on the Embossing.

I am entering this card into Jo's challenge HERE

We have a prize from Stamps by Chloe this week

Dies Challenge 26 & Journal Page 10

Good Morning All

Another Journal page today and this is No. 10 and a single page this time
I used Pierced Rectangles on this one, a large one to make the tuck spot and smaller ones for journaling cards.
I added a  decorated paperclip to hold some bits in place and the journal cards can either be clipped in or tucked in one of the pockets.
The ribbon on the paperclip is from Crafty Ribbons and the link is below.

This is a great way of using odd of cards and papers.
I cut quite afew of the dies in the set in different colours of card which can be used for journaling.

I made a pocket from a book page and I found this snip of ribbon from Crafty Ribbons so added one of my mini crochet doilies.

Dies Used   -----------
50.  CED5515 Creative Expressions Noble Collection Pierced Rectangles

No Image for MAWTT

Good Morning All

As you know Diane has taken over the running of this challenge blog and she has decided to go monthly so the challenges will go live on the 1st of every month.

Moving Along With The Times Challenges this month is hosted by Christine.
Her theme is
No Image - Sentiment as focal point

I found this  large sentiment in my digi folder and I dont know where it came from.
I used some narrow  scraps that were on my desk left over from making some boxes for my craft group.
The ribbon is the only colour on the card really and although it looks blue it is actually turquoise.

Pop over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT have made.

I have used these S/B Labels 4 dies on 22nd Jan for Loriens birthday card so nothing new on this one.

Dies Challenge Day 23 & Abit Vintage for Allsorts Jnl Page 9

Good Morning All

I,m hosting the challenge over at Allsorts this week and I have gone with a theme of
A Touch Vintage
As I am in the middle of my Dies challenge set by John Next Door, I have a journal page to show you.
It's a double page layout.
I always use coffee dyed papers for the vintage look.
I made pockets with a CE Pierced  square die using  Kraft card and slightly smaller ones from  book pages.

I found some vintage images in my Junk Journals boxes, so backed 4 of them onto plain white card so they can be used as journal cards.

The corners have 2 pockets for tucking them in.
I inked all the edges with Distress inks.

I added these Spellbinders tags  die cuts so that a Title may be added to each page.
This is the beauty of creating Junk Journals, allsorts can be added, just go with the flow wherever your imagination takes you.

Prize on offer this week

Dies Used  ------------
46. Creative Expressions CED9202 - Belgian Collection Tags
47.  CED5510 Pierced Squares
