Good Morning All
This card I am sharing today came about because
Barbara Gray and Tina Cox from Clarity did a Hochanda show about doodling on Parchment and designer papers.
They used a stencil that had sections in it and doodled a different pattern in each section.
As I did not have the stencils, I improvised with what I had in my Groovi stash and I had bought this Squirrel plate a short while ago.
The sections around the outside of the squirrel looked perfect for what I wanted.
I used designer parchment and worked the plate then worked the doodles on the back.
Just went where my mind took me and doodled away.
Here is the work in progress.
I added a sentiment tag with Seam Binding.
Not perfect by any means but happy with it and something abit different.
I also wanted to show you a couple more Groovi cards.
One I made for Johns Mum for Easter. Now we dont normally send an Easter Card to her but as I was posting some to the Grandkids, I thought I would send her one as it will be nice for her to receive post in the nursing home.
I kept it nice and bright and mounted it onto some inked paper I had done and it matched very well.
This is my Grandaughters birthday card from back in March so I thought I would show this one too.
The thing I like about Groovi is that I can personalise or add sentiments with the many different fonts that come on some of the plates.
When I made this card, I took it in to my craft club and Denise has a grand daughter named Aurora too.
So she borrowed the plates and some parchment to make the same card and now she is a convert too and has ordered the starter kit..
