Gingham and / or buttons for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge time again and Kaz is our host this time and she would love you to use Gingham and / or Buttons on your creations.

Well, I went abit mad with this and made 4 cards!!!!

First I made these two to go in a box of 6 cards to sell or give as a gift.

I bought this pack of gorgeous butterflies from my local China store, so I wanted to use these.

And I had this gorgeous Gingham ribbon from Crafty Ribbons in various colours.

The backing paper is from LOTV 'Antebellum' pad.

Then I went onto make some more.

Clearing out some old stash I found these letters made from a print out using a Crafters Companion CD.

I cut them out then stuck to Mirri card and cut that out.

Added some Organza ribbon with a dummy charm.

All backed onto Gingham paper, which I love for Baby cards.

                                                     Finally, an LOTV topper, of which I have loads and love them, with navy Gingham ribbon and a heart button both from Crafty Ribbons

Travellers Notebook

Good Morning All

I watch quite afew You Tube tutorials and I have seen these along the way and thought I would have a go.  I made this for myself to use when I go on my travels in November back to Uk to see family.

I used a beautiful fine lace doily for the cover on top of a pretty flowery material.

A vintage image from my stash and a frame gifted to me in a swap.

I stencilled alot of the pages and created alot of tuck spots and tags.

I found this lovely chain with a key on it and thought it was ideal as a book mark.

I used lots of scrap pieces of ribbon, Crafty Ribbons sell bags of off cuts for a quid in lots of varieties

I used some of the Grosgrain 'Handmade by' ribbon as page tabs like on the Junk Journal on Monday.

I shall use this on my visit for notes, as a diary and for receipts etc etc.

Gorgeous Ribbon

Good Morning All

I showed you the Junk Journal I made HERE

Well here are afew more pics using some beautiful ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

They do some wonderful Grosgrain ribbon with all sorts of designs and words.

Their new challenge starts tomorrow on Facebook too and there is a lovely bundle of ribbon to be won.

I used this, folded, for tabs on some of the pages.

This lovely French type I added to the inside of one page.

These are some of the snips from the pack.

Two different colours of seam binding for the closure.

I think I did tell you that the Junk Journal sold pretty quickly so I have made another and that is now in the shop too.

Crafty Ribbons DT with Craft Club Gifts and Sketch

Good Morning All

Crafty Ribbons Time again and it is my turn to show my creations.

Pop onto the Crafty Ribbons Facebook page and have a go at the challenge to win  a pack of ribbons.
It is always Anything Goes as long as you use Ribbon.

These are the gifts I gave to my Craft Club ladies on Friday.

I made covers for slim notebooks.

I used Seam binding and Satin Ribbon for closures and added either Bows or Flowers made from Satin Ribbon.

I love Seam Binding as it is also great for adding to tags as I have done on afew of these

And there is a colour to suit everything I make.  

Love it and the ladies loved their gifts too.

And me being me, decided to add afew little butterflies!!!!

Animals or Birds for Crafty Friends

Good Morning All

Crafty Friends Challenge time again and this time it is Animals or Birds.

I used Flopsy from our sponsor Crafty Sentiments

I used Gilding Polish for my backing mat.

LOTV paper.

Added a heart charm to the sentiment tag

with some of the same twine wrapped around the mat.

Music for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Allsorts Challenge this week is Music.
Back to a weekly challenge too.

I found some lovely  Music paper in an LOTV paper pad.

I added a Decoupage image of a Piano.

I matted onto card edged with  Gilding Polish.

We dont have a sponsor for this one but

Different Crafts

Good Morning All

My crafty friend Val J and I went to a class yesterday afternoon to make these. or rather, decorate these bottles.

We really enjoyed the class and bought some more of the quotes to use at home.

This one is very apt for me as my fave drink is Bacardi and diet Coke.

And here is another bag made by Jen, one of my Craft Club ladies.

She crochets ring pulls from cans.

She is going to teach some of my ladies today, how to do it.

She stitched a lovely satin lining inside and attached a chain handle, very beautiful.

More Groovi

Good Morning All

More Groovi today.

I love the background on this one, I have used it before on Amandas Birthday card.

I borrowed a couple of plates from Eve at my Craft Club.

I made afew Man cards.

 Since making them I have seen on the Groovi Facebook page that people snip out  between the cogs and numerals and it looks very effective so I shall borrow  the plates again and try it.
