Cards using Tags

Good Morning All
I made some tags (Here) before Christmas to sell at the Craft Farye and some didn't sell so I made them into cards.
I took them to craft club last Friday and used odds of papers and card that I keep there, along with ribbons and embellishments.
They are all 5x7 and everything was from the boxes at Craft club, all I had to do when I got them  home was to add inserts and bag them up to go in box ready to give away.
Some of my ladies are quite impressed with how many cards I make at club.
I think once, I made about 15 Christmas cards !!!!!
All the backing paper I used are Mulberry paper, quite old fashioned but one of the ladies broought a bundle in, so may aswell use it.
I love the brown one, it has a sparkle running through it.

A New Friend

Good Morning All

I just had to show you  my new friend.
Our friends who we were meant to be going away with at New Year have just got a puppy.
She is a variety of Mastiff.
I had to go down to their garage yesterday morning to meet her.

Isn't she the cutest????
Her name is Lola and she is number 4 of Andrew and Amanda's babies.
They have 3 dogs already and count them as their children.

She is gonna be a big dog.

Craft Club Gifts & Sketch

Good Morning All

As some of you may know, I give my Craft Club girls a sketch each week, just a little challenge for them but I also share it on my Facebook Page too.
Anyone is more than welcome to enter, either comment on Facebook with a pic or email one to me.

Firstly though, here is the little gifts I have made for my ladies this week, a little Tissue Pouch.

I loved making these and I hope they like them too.

Now onto the sketch.
I have starting drawing these myself with Office Draw.

If you fancy having a go, take no notice of the colours, just the layout.

Here is my interpretation
I used one of John Lockwoods Circle Stamps, cut out wth CE Noble Circle die

I used the off cuts to decorate the inside.
My second one is using a LOTV Topper
Bow and butterfly made by me and some buttons with Twine bows

I made this one for a challenge on Facebook too so if anyone is in the same group you may have already seen it, apologies.

I draw a name from everyone that makes a card and I will post out a little gift.

Selection of Boxes

Good Morning All

A selection of little boxes today.
I make these to put little gifts in for my Craft Club ladies and these are some I have been trying out.

The white one is the Impossible box I showed the other day.

A tiny weeny one with a belly band  so cute.

No doubt you will see the others when I decide to make them for gifts as I will be showing you each week, what I give the ladies at my Club.
I shall also use some for swaps too as I have quite afew coming up over the next few months.

****
I wanted to show you this Impossible Box a lovely lady made after reading my post last week.
I met this lady a couple of years ago at Ally Pally when I was working with John Next Door.
She goes by the name of Little lamb.
Hasn't she made a great job of it?

I love it when someone emails me pics f what they have made after reading my posts.

Old Faves for Allsorts

Good Morning All
Allsorts Challenge this week is hosted by Tracy and she wants to see your Old Favourites.

When I first started crafting I loved cutting out decoupage images, I still do but my old hands wont allow too much cutting.
This one is an old vintage card but as it has roses on I thought it was more suitable for a wedding card.
So I matted it onto a gold doily then Congratulations paper.

Added one on my pretty ribbon bows with a pearl gem.
Ones like these are for sale if interested.

Decorated Notebook

Good Morning All

I saw a post on Facebook, it was one of those sites that do demo videos and this one was called Mett Dan I think.
Anyway, it was weaving ribbon to cover a book, easy I thought.
Well, it was easy in my head but then when I started doing it, not quite so easy.
I  never considered the width of the ribbon  to fit the  size of the book cover.
Then I had to fit between the spiral binding.

I eventually got it to work out and stuck a piece of card on the inside to cover all the ends.
It is all done with a hot glue gun.
You can just about see it if you look closely but there was a little pull in the ribbon right in the centre, so I stuck a flower on.

This maybe a little idea to make my ladies at Craft Club only on a smaller scale.

I wn the Crafty Ribbons challenge on Facebook with this too, so worth the work and fiddling about.

A Different Box

Good Morning All

Here is a box design I came across on You tube, I have never seen it before but I,m sure some of you might have seen it.
It's called an Impossible Box.

You just lift the top and it opens so that you can put little gifts inside.

They can obviously be decorated more elaborately than mine but this was my first

HERE is the link.

This will go into my collection of boxes to give my Craft Club girls.

I would to see you pics if you have a go making it.

Butterflies for Allsorts

Good Morning All
Allsorts Challenge time again and it is my choice this week.
Butterflies of course, easy choice for me.
A nice, bright card using Tattered Lace Pindot Butterfly die.

I embossed a sheet of vellum with a CE butterfly folder but it doesn,t show too good on my pics.

Added some gold mesh ribbon and some of my tiny vellum butterflies.

I put two of the die cut butterflies together which I think looks nice.

Butterflies & Roses

Good Morning All

I was trying to clear some bits off my desk last week and here is a card I made.
I used some lovely glittery paper from a pad that was sent to me in a swap, matted onto green card.
The trellis that the butterflies are mounted on is the left over piece from tiny die cut squares.

Then added a couple of organza bows and a sentiment tag.

More Scarves

Good Morning All
After showing my knitted scarf HERE my blog friend Karen knitted one too, she wasn't sure at first but then told me she found it easy, which it is.
This is her's which I think looks wonderful and looks great worn to the side. She has done garter stitch for the main and  stocking stitch for the criss cross and it looks great.

This is another one I have done for Hollie so it is abit smaller and I have done it all in garter stitch.

I posted this to her yesterday.

And  this is another adult size one that I shall try to sell.
Not sure if they look better all garter stitch or rib and garter stitch.

Here is a pic of Hollie when they had snow in the Midlands around Christmas time.

Flying off to Uk this morning as Johns Mum is not very well, not sure how long we will be there.
I have scheduled posts for afew days but will keep you informed.

No Patterned paper for Allsorts

Good Morning All
Allsorts Challenge is hosted by Tracy and the theme is
No Patterned Papers
SO.....

When Christina Griffiths released her collection of dies I had to buy.
If you buy from Craft Stash and it is your first time you get 20% off, not sure if they still do it though.
Christina has the links on her blog.
I had them sent to my sisters house though, so had to wait to play with them.
This is the first box I made and did it the wrong way around so had to add ribbon across the top as you could see the flap through the window.

And this is the card with the trellis die.
Flowers and stick pin are my own but every other element is from the set.
I bought the 5x7 box set and one of the trellis sets to accompany the box.

So happy with these and I think they will get alot of use.
