Fave Embellishments for Crafty Friends

Good Morning All

My first post today is for Crafty Friends Challenge.

The theme  is Fave Embellishments.

Well where do I start!!!!!!!

I went for Ribbon, Stick Pins and Heart shaped pearls.

Day for Daisy Image I just coloured the flowers with Mica Paints and the veil with Glitter.

The photo looks blue but it is Lilac.

Banners on cards

Good Morning All

Here are two cards I made using a banner.

They are A6 deckled edge card base and these two will be the first of about 200 I make for the charities here that I supply.

The large green and silver  brads I have used to attach the banners are another project which I will show next week.

I think the green ones turned out best.

I found another one I had made and not photographed.

I really like this one too.

After abit of a bad day yesterday,  I,m trying to keep going.  But as my John says 2 steps forward and 1 step back, so take 1 day at a  time.

Christmas Banners

Good Morning All

Some more banners with a Christmas theme.

Before I decorated them and I only used all scraps of card and paper to make them.

These are decorated with all bits from my stash.
I got my Christmas box out of storage the other day and most of what I used  is scraps from there.
I think I will only use one of these for a card which I will make tomorrow.

Your opinion is well appreciated.

Banners

Good Morning All

I have been busy making embellishments for my cards.

I used a cocktail stick, attached a pearl to each end with a piece of twine through it.

I started using felt then decided to use old pieces of card.

 Final results.

They are approx 5cm x 10cm

so each one will be used for  one card

matted and layered,

probably onto embossed and coloured card

but I will show when I have made some cards with them.

I will use these for Christmas cards.

All the embellishments used on them are homemade.

I really like these two, so pretty.

I used all bits in my stash that I have made in the past - flowers, die cuts, ribbon, gems

Some more to come tomorrow.

Doing some more Christmas ones.

Anything but a Card for Allsorts

Good Morning All

A good while ago I started decorating a set of boxes, HERE and HERE and HERE,  I never completed them all.

Anyway this is the last one, the smallest of them all.

Allsorts Challenge this week is Anything But A Card chosen by Helene.

This box is so tiny, about 3" across.
This will be going to Slim club as a raffle prize.

Covered Notebook

Good Morning All

A few weeks ago when I wasn't feeling my best, I started writing things down, hopefully, to try to make myself feel better and for me to look back and realise how lucky I am to have what I have in my life.

To live where I live, not have to go to work.

I can craft as much as I want and help charities too.

I can swim every day from June to September.

A fab man in my life who looked after me wonderfully.

Lovely family, gorgeous Grand Children (just wish I could see them more).

Anyway

This is the book I used, just a plain notebook that I covered in white felt then embellished with some of my homemade  pins, danglers and a doily.

I attached satin ribbon so that I can tie closed.

This is the back, left fairly plain.

The lace is so pretty.

The inside cover.

When the book is full, I can buy another notebook and replace it and the book slides out of the cover.

Camellia Ring

Good Morning All

I have been in my craft room on and off all weekend.

Just playing around really and this is one I came up with.

I stamped and heat embossed John Lockwood Camellia Ring and coloured with Mica Paints.

Mounted onto LOTV paper, a spare piece of card embossed with CE Roses Embossing Folder and a CE Pierced Noble Frame.

I added one of my homemade tiny book embellishments.

Frame for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Annie has joined our DT at Allsorts afew weeks ago and this is her first week of hosting and she has chosen Frames.

I chose this sweet image from Day for Daisy and just coloured the owl because I wanted to frame it.

 I have kept it fairly neutral.  The oval sentiment tag and frame are from John Next Door before he left.

I cut a tiny tag and stamped them both, just crossed the s out and wrote in a t.

I framed the whole card with a CE Noble Pierced Square.

Added afew black gems in the corners.

Fancy Stick Pins

Good Morning All

I have been in my craft room at last and spending quite a bit of time in there.

This is what I have been up to.

Used 1" lace to make a flower.

I make the lace bases while watching TV at night

then use the hot glue gun to stick together the next day.

I  have used all types of embellishments on these -

Get Well

Good Morning All

Another couple of cards from my files, and I do want to send Get Well Wishes to my Teamie from MAWTT Janice, to her hubby Craig, who is in hospital at present.

These are both very simiar design, same shapes, using the negative from the other one.

One of my first of her dies.

I think Mr Mojo has come home, possibly with only hand luggage, waiting for suitcase full to arrive.

One for the Boys for Allsorts

Good Morning All

Kevin has chosen the theme this week for Allsorts Challenge.

One for the Boys.

I pulled out the ever faithful LOTV toppers for this one.

Matted onto yellow card and card inked with Chocolate Gilding Polish.

Once you have these Gilding Polishes, you never have to buy coloured, pearl card stock again.

Ribbon on the corners and afew gems and sentiment.

Kept very simple whilst it is for a male recipient!!!

No Designer Papers for MAWTT

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge this time is hosted by our lovely Janice.

I had this frame left from cutting a Noble Peirced Rectangle so I covered the inside of it with card embossed with 'Romantique' emboss folder.

Inked edges with Violet Haze colour cloud.

Anything Goes for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

My first post today is for Craft Rocket Challenge and it is a nice easy (busy) one,

Anything Goes.

This is one of the first stick pin books I made, far from perfect but it works for me.
I still use this even though I made the bigger one I showed the other day, as this one is smaller and fits on my shelf behind my chair.

 As you know, I love making these pins and the danglers to embellish my items and boxes etc and this is perfect for keeping them all together.

 I made it using sheets of polystyrene, covered in bits from off cuts of curtains etc.

Some doilies, I have made, others have been cut from a tray cloth on an earlier post.

I have used alot of my larger beads to make decorations for altered items (too large for cards).

This is the back, all wrapped around with ribbon so that it can be tied together to close it.
