Mythical for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All
This time at Craft Rocket Challenge the theme is Mythical - Fairies, Elves Dragons etc.

I think  this topper is from LOTV. but it fits the theme perfectly.
I,m still clearing out some stash, the butterflies are cut from a die set of John Next Door before he moved, I think they are Spellbinders.
Happy Birthday ???? cut at craft meet.
Once again,  some paper from stash  matched the image perfectly, I think I bought it from Papertole UK

Altered Filofax

Good Morning All

I,m still altering and decorating stuff after watching Fiona on You Tube

This is my latest, an old Filofax.

Fiona makes it all look so easy and perfect.

I,ve had this Filofax since I used to go to work and just renewed the insides each year.
I keep all my old diaries and knew I had this and thought it would be good to cover.
I will buy a new inside for it for 2017.

This is the back and I am still using some fabric cut off from a quilt cover when I recovered the outside sofa.

I crocheted the doilies myself.

Cut my name using an alphabet punch.

I made the lacy flower and added tassles made from some silky knitting thread and added a pearl on the end of each one.

I used felt for the inside and added elasticated lace to store odd bits of paper or cards etc.

Very pleased with how this turned out but could do better and will keep playing.

Toys by Janice

Good Morning All

I wanted to show you these two cute stuffed toys made by Janice Small.
Jan is a  DT member on MAWTT blog with me and I am also a follower of her blog HERE.

I saw these when she had made them and asked her what she intended to do with them,
Anyway we came to an agreement and after I had had a senior moment with regards to my sons address (Jan you understand what I mean)
Lorien took these pics for me when they were received in Corby for the new baby.
They are ready in the Moses basket in the Living room, waiting for babs to come home, as I type Lorien is in hospital (Thursday Morning)
Aren't they sweet.
Jan is so clever.
Thank You Jan.

Black & White

Good Morning All

When we went to Cartagena afew weeks ago, I took some images to colour with my Mica Paints.
This was one of them but I did not colour this one.
It was lying on my desk and I thought it looked good as it was.
I fussy cut around it.

I had to add afew black gems to hide my embossing powder dots!!!!
I do like it though.
I used
CE Pierced Flag Sentiment by John Lockwood
CE Perfect Peonies
CE Camelia Ring Element by John Lockwood
CE Mosaic Leaves Die
CE Leafy Montage Embossing folder.

Fabric Book Project

Good Morning All

Welcome to my newest followers, Pat and Maarit, nice of you to join me, I hope you enjoy your visits.

This is the project I used the tray cloth on.

It is a Shabby Chic Fabric Book.

My very first attempt so abit wonky!!!!

I enjoyed doing it and will make more, Christmas gifts!!!!!!

The fabric under the try cloth is still the off cuts from a quilt cover I used to make cushion covers for the seat on a sofa.

The frill around the edge is from an underskirt that I also picked up in the charity shop for 20cents!!!

I covered a plastic ring in ribbon so that the book can be hung up.

I am still making stick pins and thought this would be a great idea for storing them.
Also, earrings can be hung from the lace.

I have decided to sew in some more plastic rings so that bracelets or necklaces can be hung on them.

I am going to take this with me to Loriens when I go in April, after she has had the baby. She is in hospital at present as baby is breech. This will be a gift for her to store her jewellery  in her bedroom, I hope!!!!
Pop over to see Jennings 644  on You Tube, she has some gorgeous  tutorials for all sorts of stuff.

Bargain from Charity Shop

Good Morning All
I have been watching You Tube alot just lately and found this lovely lady, Jennings 644.
She has some amazing videos and these prompted me to go on the hunt in Charity shops.
If you pop over and watch some of her videos  you will understand why.

I found this tray cloth for 50cents.
I cut off the edge pieces so that I could use the centre  for a couple of  projects, one of which I will show you in afew days !!!!!

Obviously, I had to cut some of the thread and I did not want to throw any of them away, so---

This is what I did with them.

I hot glued the tips and stuck gems, or flowers or ribbons on and made all these  lovely embellishments.

So,  in a cuple of days,  I shall show you my first project using some of these.

And the one below for Noah.
I found most of the papers when I was having a sort out of my papers and card afew weeks ago.
I dont make Easter cards normally, only for the Grand kids now.

Fresh Spring Colours for Allsorts

Good Morning All
Allsorts Challenge this week is hosted by Brenda, our team leader.
She would like to see Fresh Spring colours, yellows, greens, even pinks.

I used this small piece of a Hunkydory set that was in my scrappy box, the flower on it was too pretty to throw out so here it is.
I tried to match the colours with yellow card, which I embossed.
All matted onto spring green card.
The butterflies and tiny flower are cut from ribbon.

this fortnight is hosted by Jan S and she would like to see Purples on your creations.
I decided to make my sisters Birthday card.
I really will have to get some more Sue Wilson Dies!!!!, I always seem to use this 'Hollywood' from the California Collection.
I turned the centre horizontal so that I could stamp the sentiment on it.
All the bits on this are from my stash.

Fur or Feathers for Craft Rocket

Good Morning All

Craft Rocket Challenge this time is Fur and / or Feathers.

As I make lots of cards for an Animal charity I decided to go with fur and used this cute picture of a puppy.

I used all shades of blue for mats, the ends off the tag on the S/B Ornate Squares die set and the paper is from a Docrafts set.
I,m sure this will be a busy challenge.
******
Talking of puppies, my friend has got a black labrador pup in January and we were lucky enough to baby sit the other week.
She is so good, doesn,t bark, not boisterous, just sleeps.

A Task

Good Morning All
A lady who regularly asks me to make personalised cards for her gave me a challenge afew weeks ago.
Three cards for her three Grandsons - One likes Lego, one likes QPR and the other is a mechanic!!!!!

For the Lego, all I could think of was to print some paper to use as a background.
I used paper for  mats all the colours from Lego.

QPR,  I printed onto printable acetate and added silver circles to act as footballs all mounted onto embossed card.

The only car paper I had was of vintage cars, and I embossed silver card iwth a 'tools' embossing folder, and I added a key as it was his 18th.

She was pleased with them all anyway.
I think she likes the fact that they are personalised with their names etc.
