Vintage for Allsorts

Good Morning All
The winner of my prize from last weeks post is
Christine Harrop
I have heard from Christine, after she responded to my post last night, so her prize will be posted out on Monday.
******
Allsorts Challenge this week is 'Vintage'.  Now this is not something that comes easily to me, I love looking at others creations but I find it quite hard to do it.
If you have a look at Astrids Artistic Efforts Blog, she does Vintage beautifully and she is very generous with some freebies too.

So it is one of Astrids freebie sheets I have used for this card and I am very pleased with it too.
With her images I have  added satin ribbon with 2 of my bead pins, a lovely pink doily, inked on the edges and some pearls and gems flowers from my local China store.

We have  two sponsors this week

Texture

Good Morning All

I had a lovely day yesterday for my Birthday.  We went for a walk on the coast in the morning after Johns friend had left to drive to Andorra. Then in the evening we went for a couple of drinks and  a couple of  friends joined us  and brought me these gorgeous flowers and gift.  After that just John and I went for an  Indian meal, yummy.

This is where we went for  walk, Cabo Roig.

Thanks to everyone for my Birthday wishes, cards and yummy presents from my John, Val in Spain and Lyn.
******

Moving Along With The Times Challenge this week has been set by my mate Ang, Mrs Duck, who is suffering from Chicken pox at present,  and she wants to see 'Texture' either dry or heat embossing or use texture paste.  Well, as I dont have any texture paste it had to be embossing.

I embossed some card from one of Johns beer cartons using   'Grand Woven' by Couture Creations.    I cut circles using S/B butterfly circles, added some old curtain material that has been cut off from hems, an odd piece of lace and a sewing kit you get in hotels.  Added lots of butterflies and some buttons with twine.
Hope you like it and will pop along and join us with this challenge.

Felt Flower

Good Monday Morning All

As you know, I love making flowers and here is another one made from felt after watching Sue Wilson make these on a You Tube video.

I,m sorry but I have looked through the videos and cannot find the link for it it, Basically, you fold a piece of felt in half lengthwise and snip into it from the folded edge, then start winding it to form this flower.
I hope you like it.

P.S.
I just thought I would show you this lovely cactus that is part of the community plants outside my our door.   The flowers open up in the sunshine and go to sleep at night, isn't it gorgeous?

Allsorts 6th Birthday

Good Morning All
Today is Allsorts 6th Birthday so we are having a little celebration and I will be giving one of my commenters a little gift.
First though, I would like to welcome Cindy to my blog, thanks for joining me.
********

I have made a gorgeous pink card with lots of butterflies .

The pink embossed and cut card is done by using the the Marianne Cut/Emboss folder I am giving away as part of my gift.  It is my birthday too on Wednesday so I shall add some extra candy in the give away.  As it is a birthday for Allsorts I went to town on blinging it up.  I used a Scrappers Delight sentiment and bead pins and pearl wires I have made. I love these tiny 'Hand Made With Love Charms', I feature them on some on my bead pins.
.

This is the folder I am giving away, it is brand new, not the one I used, I bought two when I bought them.  I will add some bead pins too, similar to the ones HERE and HERE, and probably, afew other bits too.  I will randomly choose a winner next Friday from the comments left on this post.
I shall announce the winner on next Saturdays Allsorts post and he / she will have 48 hours to respond then another name will be picked.
Visit the other DT as some are having give aways too.
The bead pins are still for sale too.

Sponsor is
 Tattered Lace

who are giving an amazing 50GBP gift voucher, well worth entering this week and visiting all the DT blogs too.

Add A Bow

Good Morning All
Creative Cottage Crafts Challenge is Add A Bow so that's a nice easy for you.

I was given this image to play with but, because it is so soft (if you know what I mean), I really did not want to colour it, so all I did was colour the bow in her hair and I matched the rest of the card to that colour.
The corners are a Leane die No. 45-8558 cut from cerise card, a double bow using cerise satin ribbon and two bead pins (available to buy, HERE) and another bow in twine holding the sentiment tags.

The sponsor is Ppinky Dolls

Humphrey

Good Morning All
These cards have been in my file for ages so I thought I would show them to you.

They are both Humphrey decoupage from Crafters Companion.
Very quick, easy cards and ideal for kiddie cards.  I dont make alot of children's cards, or 'man' cards either, I really must get onto this as I am doing a craft fair in June and need to get the boxes filled up.

I struggled to find an image for this one, then found this little cutie.

This gorgeous little puppy is playing with an apple.  The die is Xcut Petals, 2 sizes and I added an inked doily, ribbon, brad and a charm tied onto the sentiment.

Home Time

Good Morning All
Today I fly back to Spain after a wonderful visit with family and catching up with lots of friends.

Another weave card today.  I cut all the strips and then glue them all together while I 'm watching TV at night.

I do love the effect of this weaving and am very happy with this card.

All That Glitters

Good Morning All
Time for challenge 4 at Creative Cottage Crafts and the theme is All That Glitters.

Believe it or not but this card is actually green, it looks a murky grey doesn't it?

The image is from our sponsor  'All Dressed Up'
Quite cute isn't it?
coloured with Promarkers.
I added a big glittery dazzler to the bow.  The sentiment tags are held n with one of my bead pins, available HERE if you would like to buy some, or leave a comment for me with your email and I will get back to you.
I glittered the edges of the S/B Beaded Ovals and gems to the EK Success punched border.

Fave Colour for Ladybug Crafts

Good Morning All
Ladybug crafts challenge this month is to use your fave colour.

It is quite hard to choose my fave colour on a card, as when I make a card, I think that I love that colour, as I did with this one.  I do think peach and brown go well together, then again, I like pink and blue, pink and black, blue and white etc etc etc etc.
The brown corner die is one borrowed from a craft friend at our meeting so I,m not sure what it is, possibly a Tonic one, Val may be able t comment on this and tell me.
The butterfly is a Spellbinders I think, again it has been in my 'die cut' draw for ages, as has the stamped sentiment.  Bead pins and pearl hoops made by me.
I,m pleased with this card and hope you are too.
