Time to get Peeling

Good Morning All

It is time for Charisma Cardz Challenge and the theme is Time to Get Peeling and this means that we want to see your Peeloffs.  Now I know that so many of you dont use Peeloffs any more so this may be a challenge for you!!

I used two cupcake images form one of the sponsors - Digistamp Boutique and coloured with Promarkers.

I used bits of waste from the peeoff sheet below  to put in the corners of the small squares with a peeloff balloon in the centre.

The little parcels are diecut using a Quickuts die.

I stuck flowers and flourishes along each edge and a peeloff 'Happy Birthday' down each plain black part.

And this is how I use alot of my peeloffs now to use them up, I stick them on the envelopes.

Sponsors are  -
and
Big Head Stamps

Dont forget, we are now a fortnightly challenge .

Blue Easel

Good Morning All

I made this for a challenge which had a sketch to follow, I dont usually go for these, but I have had to do a couple for DT blogs and really enjoyed them.  This one is on Hobby Cutz Challenge.

I made and easel card from PMD hammered white card.

I wanted to do something abit different with ribbon so I put two strips of the red sticky tape parallel with each other and alternated the two shades of blue satin ribbon.
The circle sentiment is from Netty  HERE and I stuck this on a  scalloped circle that was in some candy I got from Mau afew weeks ago.  I added a charm and put a ring on it to put it  through one of the holes on the circle, so it hangs free with it being an easel.

The flowers are Cheery Lynn Roses die, I still love these dies so much,  and Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms.

Birthday Book

Good Morning All

I am a happy bunny this morning, why you may ask,  because I made something yesterday and am really pleased with how it turned out.  I was browsing around on You Tube and came across a demo for a little book, I decided to turn mine into a Birthday Date book as I had a little calender book on my desk that John had given me and had never got round to using it.  The tutorial is HERE, and this is how mine came out.

It is 3 and 1/2 inches square as I used  12 x 12 paer to make it.

I used wool in all the tags and pulled the edges.

There are 6 slots in the top and one in the side.  So I put two months in each slot and a plain card in the side one.

I just takes one piece of 12 x 12 paper and I made a cardboard cover for mine and covered it with material cut off when I shorted my curtains here in my craft room and decorated it with a tiny tag and some flowers.  Ribbon to fasten it with.

There is room on the back of each card to write and notes and names etc.  It could even be used as a diary, there is room to slot extra bits of paper or card in.
I think I will be making more of these and just use months with number, not an actual calender, so that it could be used year after year.

3 from 1

Good Morning All

I made these cards yesterday, using a die that I have had for a while.  I think the reason why I did not keep using it was  because the first time I did use it, I ripped the card trying to get it from the die.

 Anyway see what you think.

I love this one, Core-dinations card, sanded, and a simple sentiment as the focal point.

This one is shades of pink (bad pic, sorry).

Circle sentiment is a lovely freebie from Netty HERE.

This one is the negative from  the first one.  I quite like this one too.

The dies are ---
Lea'bilities Frame Leaf  45.7667

And the flower is Cheery Lynn 'Chrysanthemum Strip'  Love this one.

Vintage

Good Morning All

'Vintage' is the theme this week at Allsorts Challenge and it has been set by Tracy.

I have use a stamp from Flonzcraft, one of our sponsors.  If you are one of my followers, you will know that "vintage" does not come easily to me and I did ponder over this one for a while.

I decided on a 'Man' card, as I dont make as many as I should.  I used a rubber stamp from one of the sponsors - Flonz- and pricked the edges and distressed with ink.  I used pages from a book and tore the edges and inked again.  Added a homemade sentiment and buttons with twine and some string on the fold.

Cats

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge this week is 'Cats'.  Now I am not a Cat person, I am more a dog person, but I do support a couple of animal charities here in Spain.  Infact I have found another outlet for some cards, the other week when I went to our local craft shop with John Next Door, Ollie had a notice asking for any spare cards, a lady she knows, takes them to sell for a Cancer charity, another one which is close to my heart.  So I will be taking some there next time we go.

Anyway, back to the challenge.  The theme has been chosen by Janice.

I used a decoupage image from Lilac Gardens which no longer exists as Audrey retired.  I do try to make quite afew animal cards as they do sell well for the charity 'Animal Aid' that I give alot of my cards to.

Have fun if you decide to enter the challenge and we do love looking at all your creations.

Bits & Bobs

Good Morning All

I made this the last week, it came about because the sentiment/verse was originally an insert for a card and the edges had got all tatty as it had been in my stash for years.  So, as I dont like to waste anything, I thought I would make it the mainstay of a card.

Paper from Create & Craft years ago.
Shiny butterflies from Mei Flower.
Small green butterflies are pop outs from a Spellbinder 'Butterfly Circle die'
Flowers are Spellbinders 'Bitty Blossom' with pearls in the centres and inked on edges.
The leaves are from a batch I bought on Ebay - a mixed bag of die cuts.

Mid month reminder for Unstampabelles

Good Evening All
This is my second card I made for Unstampabelles Challenge blog, see my first post HERE.  I made two cards and Sue suggested using one as a mid month reminder so here it is.  This is the 'Boy' version of the one in the link above.

It is made from all Forever Friends products, even the little box which can be used for money or a little gift, I put a charm on a ribbon in it.

Good Morning All

I just wanted the show this card that I made yesterday using some of the flowers I was given by a lovely blogging friend, Mau.  HERE is her blog.

The picture is one given to me by Linda (Animal Aid) and is a vintage - sepia pic, so gorgeous, so I picked the colours of the flowers on the pic and used the same  colour flowers from Mau.  The shape of the card is using a large set of nesting dies from John next door.

Hope & Chances

Good Morning All

I wanted to show you these.

Christine from Hope &  Chances Blog  raises money for a couple of charities and I bought this kit from her HERE and  this is it assembled.

She supplies all the pieces to make a box, 2 flowers and the card, the tiny peg, pearls and tag.
I added the ribbon and inked the edges of the box and the card.

I made one flowers as her instructions and I made the other one by spraying and scrunching.  I inked them both.   Hard to say which one I like best but I do love them both.

Ronald McDonald house is a charity close to my heart as  we gave money to them when Lucas died in 2010 as they have a centre at Alderhey Childrens Hospital.  And any cancer charity too as I lost my fiance to cancer in 2006 and my Dad in 2000.

Pleats

Good Morning All

I hope you are all well and not too cold and wet in which ever part of the world you are in.  It is sunny here today but the last few days have been cloudy, cold and abit rainy.

My cards I want to show you today are pleated, an idea I pinched from John Next Door HERE I,m sure he wont mind!!!!

This shows how the card is folded and stuck down.

The gorgeous butterfly die is 'Tonic' Butterfly set I bought at my local craft shop when I went with John on Thursday, so gorgeous I couldn't resist it.

This one I pleated in a different way.

Homemade tags for sentiment.

The lovely ivy die is Marianne LR0206 and it comes with a little bird house and bird.

Flowers are Cheery Lynn roses die and I stuck a tiny pearl in each centre.

Use Ribbon but No Bows

Good Morning All
I would like to welcome my new followers, I love it when people join me on my crafting journey, I hope you get a bit of inspiration from my creations.
                                  ***********************************************
It's my turn to host the Challenge at Allsorts this week and I want to see ribbon on your creations, but not in the usual way of tying a bow, I want to see how you can use it in other ways.  My very first DT card for Allsorts is HERE and I used ribbon in a plait, pop over to the post and have a look.  Anyway, for this one I wanted to try something else so here goes.

This was my first attempt then I thought it looked a little bare, so see the pic below.

I used one and a half inch wide organza ribbon with  wire edges, I pulled the  wire so that the edges gathered up, then wound it round to form a flower.

Liquid pearls on a scalloped circle.  Tiny envelope with card and tulips.

I cant wait to see what everyone comes up with.

New Beginnings

Good Morning All

Moving Along With The Times Challenge day today and a great theme for the new year ' New Beginnings' chosen this week by Kelly.

New Beginnings to me meant Baby - New Life.

I made a criss cross card using a 36 x 12cm piece of card, scored at 12cm and 24cm, then cut diagonally on each front piece.  Stuck some paper lace along the edges and added tiny organza bows.

In the bottom corner I stuck some satin flowers and a tiny heart.

The sentiment banner has been in my stash for ages, as has the paper lace.

The patterned papers are Forever Friends.

I cut a scalloped circle from white card to make a separate card for the inside.

I decorated the inside of the fronts with a couple of tiny pink hearts and a Cherry Lynn die B315.

On the circle I stuck a decoupaged image of a baby sleeping on a pillow.

I stuck a piece of folded card onto the back to make a stand for it.  Tied Joanna Sheen ribbon through the top and inked the edges.

I look forward to visiting your blogs.
